The provocation model was fully developed using glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) infusion 0,5 µg/kg/min for 20 min. Headache is scored 0–10. There is an immediate headache during infusion, regression towards normal and then a delayed headache during which diagnostic criteria for an attack of migraine without aura are fulfilled. The lag phase between immediate and delayed headache has also been observed with other substances.
